Message from the President

Greetings and Welcome!

As President of the Southeast Regional Fellowship (SERF), I encourage you to make every effort to meet us in Kannapolis, NC on the grounds of Living Waters Church of God. Our theme continues to resonate with the tenants of SERF forefathers’ values and beliefs. Having just completed our 30th year by way of the SERF Virtual Conference 2023 we are looking forward to this 31st year in 2024.  Given all that we have seen humanity be challenged with, come through, and adjust to, there still seems to be a steady continuity in SERF. It is with this belief we continue to proceed forward with this Homothumadon call from God. It is our intention to honor and fulfill the legacy and heritage of this ministry. The theme, Harvest Commission 24:Preservation….Not Elimination” encapsulates the essence of SERF and the visional and spiritual pursuit of the Church of God from its highest levels of leadership. Our supporting scriptures for SERF 2024 are derived from John 3:17-21,John 17:21-23, Psalm 16:1-11.

Our goals continue to be accomplished through the unique structure that has been established from its inception and continues to be an integral part of the vision of our founders. It becomes paramount for us to be ready, willing, and yes, able servants who will utilize our gifts, talents, and anointing to embrace the theme and reap a Kingdom Harvest.

Let us continue in our due diligence with understanding and commitment to one another. Fredrick Douglass said “For it is not light that is needed, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder.  We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake. The feeling in the nation must be quickened, the conscience of the nation must be roused, the propriety of the nation must be startled, the hypocrisy of the nation must be exposed: and its crimes against God and man must be denounced.”  For it is with this mindset and heartset that we continue our movement forward for Preservation…. Not Elimination.

Dr. King. captured the essence of our theme,” Preservation … Not Elimination” with the phrase “the fierce urgency of now.” We are still living in the fierce urgency of now where our families and communities have experienced tough economic times, natural disasters, and economic calamity, with wars and rumors of wars.  We have seen home foreclosures, job loss, sickness, disease, shift in family values. People are moving and running towards self-sustainment instead of a reliance on God.  It is time for us  as pastors and the body of Christ to again follow the ensample of Dr. King’s words, for the Bible supports this plan of action; “I will give you pastors according to my heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding” (Jeremiah 3:15).  With inclusivity and continuity in this urgency, we engage and embrace new generations of ambassadors in this call to action, Preservation ….  Not Elimination.

It is my prayer as SERF presses forward that we model for others to follow, positively impacting the Harvest, in continuance,  for fellowship, to be trained, equipped, developed and inspired, and receive direction to help cultivate the preparedness necessary, for we are pressing for “Preservation…Not Elimination.”

Ministry blessings,

Choice Christian Greetings!

Welcome to the 2024 Church of God Southeast Regional Fellowship (SERF). We are excited to continue the fellowship, development, and training of leaders. We believe God is doing something special among the people of SERF as we join in the Harvest Commission by “Preservation...not Elimination”.

We believe that the Lord has preserved each of us for such a time as this. We imagine how the Lord preserved the Jewish nation by the actions of Hadassah, known to us as Queen Esther. The queen received a challenge from her cousin Mordecai. “For if you keep silent at this time, liberation and rescue will arise for the Jews from another place, and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14). Our preservation is not for our personal safety. We have been called to the harvest of souls for the Kingdom of God. We have not attained our positions as a means of comfort. We have received them to influence the nations for Christ Jesus. Therefore, it is our prayer that you will be empowered by the Spirit of God to know more fully that you have been preserved for such a time as this.

Lady Jennifer and I thank you for the opportunity to serve you in this capacity. We are truly humbled by your vote of confidence in us. We look forward to worshiping with you at SERF Conference 2024.

Blessings,
